Our quality efforts are based on the principle of “getting it right from the start.” That is why our work is characterized by an understanding of our customers’ requirements and preferences, achieved through the highest level of expertise, which leads to an accurate definition of their needs and, consequently, the best choice of materials and manufacturers.

Our environmental commitments

The policy applies to Grafokett’s operations, employees, and relevant aspects of supplier and customer collaboration.

At Grafokett, we take climate change very seriously and see it as our responsibility to contribute to a sustainable future.

We have actively chosen to align with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement, while also drawing inspiration from other initiatives that pursue the same goal: protecting our planet for future generations.

A circular economy perspective and lifecycle responsibility.

Grafokett operates with a circular economy and life cycle perspective, where resources are used efficiently and environmental impact is considered throughout the entire value chain. This includes procurement, material selection, production, use, waste management, recycling, and reuse wherever possible.

We strive to prevent waste, reduce scrap, prioritize resource-efficient solutions, and contribute to extending the life cycle of materials. Environmental considerations are an integral part of our decision-making process when selecting suppliers and making purchasing decisions.

Sustainable procurement and supplier collaboration.

Grafokett considers environmental and sustainability aspects in purchasing, procurement, and supplier evaluations. This means that we strive to select resource-efficient products and services, reduce climate and environmental impact, make responsible material choices, and work with suppliers who can contribute to our environmental objectives and circular economy perspective.

Where relevant, our requirements and expectations for suppliers and business partners are integrated into the procurement process and followed up through supplier assessments, risk evaluations, dialogue, and documented actions. In this way, our environmental policy supports Grafokett’s commitment to responsible sourcing and due diligence throughout the value chain.

Alignment with ISO 14001 and the management system.

Grafokett’s environmental management efforts are governed, monitored, and continuously improved within the framework of our ISO 14001 certified management system. This work is also integrated with our other management systems and our systematic approach under ISO 9001 and ISO 45001.

Through environmental reviews, the identification of significant environmental aspects, environmental objectives, action plans, clear allocation of responsibilities, and regular performance monitoring, we ensure that this policy is translated into practical action and that our environmental performance improves over time. Our efforts are supported by documented objectives, activities, key performance indicators, supplier assessments, non-conformance management, and management reviews, ensuring transparency, accountability, and continual improvement.

Monitoring, transparency and sustainability information.

We are transparent about our environmental efforts and publicly report relevant environmental and climate-related impacts through the SME Climate Hub.

Our environmental performance and improvement initiatives are monitored through our environmental action plan, relevant key performance indicators, internal reviews, and management reviews.

This policy also supports Grafokett’s commitment to providing relevant environmental information to customers and other stakeholders, for example in connection with sustainability reporting, sustainable procurement, supplier evaluations, and customer requirements related to the value chain.

Where environmental impact cannot be completely avoided, we prioritise reducing the impact at its source. Offsetting may be used as a complementary measure when it is based on credible, traceable, and verifiable initiatives, and it must not replace our efforts to achieve actual emissions reductions.

Grafokett’s verifiable offsetting activities include support for The Ocean Cleanup. This support is based on the calculated environmental impact of our service vehicles and all business air travel. The results are measured, documented, and reported internally on a quarterly basis as part of our environmental and climate impact monitoring.

Where relevant, our environmental efforts shall contribute to reporting and compliance requirements under established sustainability frameworks and regulations, such as ESRS and the CSDDD. However, this policy does not replace Grafokett’s separate Due Diligence Policy or other governing documents relating to sustainability, business ethics, and responsible procurement.

This policy shall be kept up to date, communicated internally and externally where relevant, and serve as a foundation for the continued improvement of our environmental performance, sustainable procurement practices, and sustainability efforts.
